Frequently Asked Questions

Everything customers ask us most often, in one place. If your question is not here, email info@framed-and-famous.com — a real person reads it.

About Framed & Famous

What is Framed & Famous?

Framed & Famous turns sporting jerseys into premium framed artwork. Each piece is mounted, glazed and framed by hand, and arrives fully assembled and ready to hang — a way of owning a piece of sporting history rather than keeping it folded in a drawer.

Most pieces can be personalised with a name, a number, a frame colour and a size, so the finished object is specific to the moment, the athlete or the person you are making it for.

Who operates the store?

Framed & Famous is a brand operated by SAdema SNC, a company registered in Switzerland.

SAdema SNC is the seller of record for every order placed here. The full company details — registered address, UID and commercial register number — are set out in our Legal Notice.

Are the products official or licensed?

We do not claim official licensing for our products, and you should not assume any product is officially licensed unless the product page itself says so.

Where a specific piece carries a claim about licensing, provenance, a signature, a limited edition or a certificate, that claim is stated on that product’s own page and applies only to it. Third-party names, badges and logos that appear on a product remain the property of their owners, and their presence does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Are the products authentic?

What we can tell you about a given piece is on its product page — including whether it is signed, whether it is part of a limited edition, and whether it comes with a certificate. Where those markers appear, they apply to that product specifically.

Where a product page makes no such claim, none is being made. We would rather say less than overstate what we can support.

If you want to know more about a specific piece before ordering, email info@framed-and-famous.com and ask — we will tell you what we actually know about it.

Personalisation and ordering

Can I personalise my framed product?

Yes — most products can be personalised. The options available for a given piece appear on its product page, above the Add to Cart button, and typically include:

Whatever you select is recorded with your order, appears in your basket and at checkout, and is repeated on your order confirmation — it is exactly what we manufacture.

Can I preview my personalisation before production?

There is no automatic on-screen mock-up of your personalised piece. What you can and should review is the text of your selection: it is shown in your basket, again in the order summary at checkout, and again on your order confirmation email.

Please check the spelling, the number and the frame options at each of those points. We produce exactly what your order records, and we do not correct spelling or punctuation.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Contact us immediately at info@framed-and-famous.com with your order number and what needs to change. Orders cannot be edited by you once submitted.

If production has not started, we will do what we can. If it has, or if materials specific to your piece are already committed, the order is fixed. Changes cannot be guaranteed, so please contact us as early as possible rather than assume there is time.

Production, stock and dispatch

How long does production take?

Made-to-order pieces — which is most of our range — are dispatched within 20–25 business days, counted from when your order is accepted and any personalisation is confirmed.

That is the window to dispatch, not to delivery. Transit time is additional and depends on your destination. See Shipping & Delivery.

How quickly are in-stock products dispatched?

A product shown as in stock is finished and ready, and is prepared and dispatched within 3–5 business days.

How can I tell whether a product is in stock?

Every product page shows its fulfilment status and dispatch window directly beneath the Add to Cart button, before you buy. The same information appears in a short form on each product card in the shop grid, and again in your basket and at checkout.

Shipping, customs and tracking

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide, to destinations where a suitable carrier and a safe delivery service are available for a fragile, glazed, framed product.

Worldwide availability does not mean every country can always be served — some countries, regions, remote locations and individual addresses may be unavailable, permanently or temporarily.

Why is my country unavailable at checkout?

If your country or address is not offered a shipping option, it means we currently have no carrier able to take a fragile shipment there safely, or the destination is subject to restrictions we cannot satisfy.

We would rather decline than send a framed, glazed piece on a route it is unlikely to survive. Email info@framed-and-famous.com and we will tell you honestly whether a route can be found.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Shipping is charged separately from the product price and depends on your delivery country. The cost is calculated and shown at checkout once you have entered your delivery address, and again in the order summary before you pay.

You can also get an estimate from the basket page before you start checkout. You will never be charged a shipping cost you did not see and approve first.

Which courier will deliver my order?

We do not use one fixed courier. The carrier and service are chosen per shipment, based on your destination, the packed dimensions and weight, the value of the goods, the fragility of the piece, which carriers actually serve your address, and whether safe transport can reasonably be provided.

The carrier handling your parcel is confirmed in your dispatch notification, along with the tracking reference.

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

Possibly. We ship from Switzerland, so a parcel crossing a customs border may attract customs duties, import VAT or sales tax, brokerage and handling fees, and other local charges.

These are not included in what you pay us and are generally your responsibility as the importer, unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. The amount is set by your country’s authorities and the carrier’s tariff — we cannot calculate, quote or absorb it, and we cannot declare an order as a gift or understate its value.

It is worth checking what your country charges on imported goods before you order. Full detail is in Shipping & Delivery.

How can I track my order?

When your order is dispatched we email you a notification with the carrier and the tracking reference. Tracking is followed on the carrier’s own website.

What should I do if tracking has not updated?

First, give it a little time. A new tracking number can take up to a full business day to become active, and cross-border shipments frequently show no movement while they sit in customs. Neither means anything is wrong.

If tracking has not moved for several business days, or shows delivered when nothing has arrived, email info@framed-and-famous.com with your order number and we will open an enquiry with the carrier.

Damage, returns and claims

What should I do if the parcel arrives damaged?

Document it thoroughly and contact us as soon as possible at info@framed-and-famous.com with your order number and the photographs.

Photograph the unopened parcel from every side, the shipping label, the damaged packaging, the protective materials inside, and the damaged product itself — in full and in close-up. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.

The complete step-by-step procedure is set out in Returns & Damages.

Should I open the parcel in front of the courier?

Whenever the courier permits it, yes — it is the strongest possible documentation, and we strongly recommend it. Inspect the outer packaging before accepting the shipment, and ask the courier to record any visible damage or prepare a damage report.

But many couriers will not wait, and that is not your fault. Your rights do not depend on a courier agreeing to stand at the door while you unpack. If you cannot inspect the contents there, photograph and document the parcel immediately after delivery instead, before unpacking further, and contact us as soon as you can.

What photographs are required for a damage claim?

Complete photographic documentation is what allows us to pursue a claim against the carrier and to assess your case properly. Please send:

Our contact form accepts multiple image attachments, which makes it the easiest route for this. Incomplete documentation does not automatically end a claim, but it limits what can be established — so send what you have, as early as you can.

Can personalised products be returned?

Change-of-mind returns, exchanges and cancellations are not accepted for personalised, customised or made-to-order products once production has started — a piece built to your specification cannot be resold.

That restriction covers change of mind only. It does not affect your position if the item is defective, was produced incorrectly, was damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered. And nothing in our policy limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

If you want to cancel before production begins, contact us immediately — we will review the request, though cancellation cannot be guaranteed. See Returns & Damages.

What happens if my product was made incorrectly?

Contact us at info@framed-and-famous.com with your order number, a description of the problem, and photographs — the whole piece plus close-ups.

If the piece does not match what your order recorded, we will assess it and put it right by repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and on what applicable law requires. Where we ask you to return it, we cover the cost and tell you how to pack it safely. Please do not send anything back before we have confirmed the arrangement.

Note that an error in personalisation text you submitted yourself is not an incorrect production — we make exactly what the order records.

What happens if I receive the wrong product?

Contact us at info@framed-and-famous.com with your order number and a photograph of what arrived, including any label or paperwork in the parcel. We arrange the return of the item sent in error at our cost and send the correct one.

Please keep the item and its packaging as received, and do not use it, until the arrangement is agreed.

Caring for your piece

How should I clean and care for the frame?

Dust the frame and glazing with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth — a microfibre cloth is ideal.

Keep the piece out of direct sunlight, away from radiators and open fires, and out of consistently damp rooms. Textiles and inks fade with prolonged UV exposure, and humidity is the enemy of anything framed.

How should the product be mounted or displayed?

Every piece arrives fully assembled and ready to hang.

If you are unsure what the piece weighs or what it is fitted with, email info@framed-and-famous.com before you drill — we will tell you what you are working with.

Can the colours shown on screen differ slightly from the finished product?

Yes, slightly. Screens vary in calibration, brightness and colour profile, and ambient light changes how a fabric or a frame finish reads. Photography of a textured, stitched textile behind glazing is never a perfect match for the object in a room.

Small variations in colour and finish between the images on the site and the piece you receive are normal, and are not a defect. Natural variation in materials, print positioning and grain also differs from item to item.

Getting in touch

How can I contact Framed & Famous?

Email info@framed-and-famous.com, or use our contact form — the form lets you attach images, which is the easiest route for a damage claim.

Please include your order number if your question relates to an order. It usually means we can answer in one reply instead of three.
